Live events leave no room for a second take. Everything from the multi-camera coverage to the audio to the read on where the energy in the room is heading next has to be right the first time, which is exactly why I love shooting them.
I shot and edited this one from start to finish. That meant covering the event live across multiple angles, then taking that raw footage into post to build a highlight film that actually captures what it felt like to be there, not just what happened. Careful colour grading kept the footage consistent across changing light through the day, and the cut was built around the moments with the most energy rather than a strict chronological run-through.
The goal with every event film I make is the same. Give the client something they can send to their own audience that makes people wish they'd been in the room. That's the bar I set for this one, and it's why it now sits near the top of my reel.
